Flying from Los Angeles, CA (LAX) to Amsterdam, NL (AMS) with Live ATC during departure and arrival.
Welcome to another flight report, glad to have you all along. Today we will be flying from Los Angeles to Amsterdam with Delta Airlines in Economy.
After a long day of work, and with sometime to kill. I decided I didn’t want to stink up the cabin. Therefore I checked into the Delta SkyClub in
Terminal 2 to grab a quick snack, drinks and take a much needed shower. The shower facility at Terminal 2 Skyclub had been closed for a long time and it was nice to finally have them open. They are extremely clean, new and a great way to freshen up. Specially before a long haul flight. I was able to access the Skyclub at a discount for $29 USD thanks to my AMEX Platinum Delta Credit Card. After a short break we were ready to board.
Flight was packed so I was unable to snatch an upgrade for my friends and I. We quickly boarded and we were greeted with a clean sleek cabin. With a really short taxi we were ready to take off into the cloudy skies of Los Angeles.
Shortly after take off we were handed the food menu and I have to say the presentation and choices were much more than you expect from an Airline. Specially in Economy. We were quickly served some snacks and drinks while they prepared the rest of the food. The food was exquisite and the after dinner tea/coffee was a perfect way to end it. Throughout the entire flight the Delta staff was very attentive, constantly bringing water or juice to make sure everyone is hydrated.
A mid flight sandwich was also served which was quite a surprise, and we still had the breakfast box to go before landing!
The IFE like always with Delta, updated screens with tons of content and extremely responsive.
After breakfast we were quickly into approach and landed on time in Amsterdam. Landed in the furthest runway.. The Polderbaan… Which is a 15-20 minutes taxi into our gate. It was a great flight and experience, and as Amsterdam was our final destination. A direct flight is extremely pleasant.
