Flying from Los Angeles, CA (LAX) to Dallas Fort-Worth, TX (DFW)
Cloudy skies are an extremely rare occurrence in Los Angeles. Today we will be departing in First Class with Delta Airlines to Dallas.
As you guys may know, early flights at LAX are a great way to avoid the mayhem of traffic. Today was no exception and thanks to that were were able to go through security quickly and wait for boarding to begin.
Thanks to Gold Medallion status I was upgraded to First Class at no cost. A great improvement from my booked economy class. I was looking forward to having food on board.
We boarding quickly and we were ready to depart. I was able to get my welcome drink Mimosa. When you fly there is no such thing as too early of a drink ;). But to our disappointment we were delayed about an hour due to a problem with the avionics. We were asked to deplane until the maintenance crew fixes the issue. After 10-15 minutes we were asked to board again and be ready on our way to Dallas!
The flight went incredible smooth and the catering provided by Compass (The company that Operates Delta Connection) was excellent. Egg Omellete Breakfast sandwhich with fresh fruit and yogurt. It was definitely a warming experience to be taken care of in such way. The food was delicous and the service was excellent.
After a short cruise we were ready to land in DFW. Landing went without and hitch and the only downside to DFW is the extremely long taxi times as it seems every runway is really far away from the terminals.
