Our Final Leg of our trip aboard Aer Lingus A330 from Dublin to Los Angeles. It was a very quick lay over for us in Dublin.
It was less than 1hr30min and it was great to do US Customs in Ireland. Dublin is one of the few airports that US Customs and Immigration is performed abroad. After deboarding from our connecting flight from Amsterdam (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TrIl-…) we headed to US Customs and Immigration. Speedy turn around as it obviously does not see the amount of traffic an International Arrival in the US will receive. After that it was the waiting game near the gate until boarding was called.
We boarded fairly quick as the flight was fully booked. As we were greeted with a 19 year old aircraft it had its few flaws. Although it was clean and perfectly acceptable. It had this weird out dated feeling. Like it was stuck in time. But I cannot stress this enough, Aer Lingus provided excellent service throughout the entire flight. The only exception was the entertainment system. The snacks, meals and drinks were perfectly adequate for the type of service Aer Lingus promises and I would definitely fly them again. I just wish and hope that other Aer Lingus aircraft have the updated entertainment system.
The flight had no issues and we landed in Los Angeles on time. Taxied straight to our gate which is shared Terminal 2 with Delta. Thankfully due to doings customs in Ireland, we walked straight out of the plane outside and grabbed our bags. It was extremely quick and very convenient!
